西村昭五郎，Born in Japan in 1930, Shogoro Nishimura joined Nikkatsu Studios in 1954, and was first promoted to director in 1963 with the well-received Keirinshô ningyô jôki. He spent the rest of that decade directing Nikkatsu programmers of varying quality.
